At Giiyo, our mission is simple yet powerful: to equip children in Cameroon with essential technology skills that will unlock doors of opportunity and empower them to become future innovators and leaders. We believe that every child deserves access to quality tech education, regardless of their background or circumstances. Our vision at Giiyo Technologies is to cultivate a generation of tech-savvy and empowered youth who are confident in leveraging technology to solve real-world problems.
Growing up in rural Nkambe, where many children couldn’t even recognize a computer mouse, I was captivated by movies showcasing kids effortlessly navigating the digital world. However, access to technology and tech education was severely limited, even in urban areas where resources were more abundant. This critical oversight became apparent as I reflected on my primary school days, where we were told we were the “leaders of tomorrow.” How could we lead tomorrow if we couldn’t even switch on a computer today?
Driven by a desire to empower young minds and bridge the digital divide, I founded Giiyo Technologies. The name “Giiyo” holds a special meaning in my mother tongue, Limbum—it translates to “do yours.” It embodies the principle of embracing and celebrating others’ achievements without envy or sabotage, but rather by focusing on doing your own best.
At Giiyo Technologies, our mission extends beyond Cameroon’s borders. We believe every child, regardless of nationality or background, deserves access to quality tech education. Our goal is to expose children worldwide to the vast opportunities of the digital age, nurturing curiosity, fostering creativity, and building confidence along the way.
Giiyo Technologies is more than just teaching tech skills; it’s about inspiring young minds to dream big, explore new horizons, and discover their passions.
